Continuing its The History of Oakley collaboration, Staple presents two new models from its ongoing project with Oakley, including new colorways in the longstanding Frogskins and newer Holbrook. Both take on Staple’s signature look, with the Frogskins sporting a Pigeon themed makeup, while the Holbrook takes more of a snowboard-driven aesthetic, fittingly catering to the signature model of snowboard extraordinaire Shaun White. Both are now available through Reed Space, who briefs us a bit more about the collection here.

Vintage Oakland Raiders Cazal Sunglasses
Posted by: Dr. Shapiro in History |
Very rarely do i ever go onto Ebay to see what is going on in the world of Vintage Sunglasses. Today, when i happened to go on, i saw this rather odd pair of Vintage Cazal Sunglasses claiming to be one of 2 pairs ever made for the Oakland Raiders. I have no idea if it is true or not, but here is what the auction read:
I am listing these glasses for a friend who owned an optical business in Oakland Calif.
The first pair were sold to Al Davis for $1500 but they included his own prescription lenses.
These come with Cazal lenses and were displayed in his store for $1000.
These glasses come with the original Cazal case.
Below is a statement from the owner.
"These sunglasses were custom made for Oakland Raiders owner AL DAVIS by Raimondi Optical in Oakland California. They are a Cazal brand and were redone with Silver Plating
and I added the Oakland Raiders logo on one side. There were only two pair made, one for Al Davis and I made one pair for myself "Ben Raimondi" these are new and have never been worn. They were made about 10 years ago.
"THE ONLY TWO PAIR IN THE WORLD""
