We were lucky enough to have one of the most legendary DJ’s in Hip Hop, DJ JAZZY JEFF, in the lab to speak on his experiences and love affair with glasses. Best known as the one half DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince alongside Will Smith; and later on for his role as Jazz, Will’s best friend on Smith’s iconic TV “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” – Jazz was never spotted without a fresh pair of shades. In this installment of The History of Eyewear, the Philly native speaks on his take on the importance of eyewear in Hip Hop and his ever entertaining love affair with glasses themselves.
